Whether you are looking for an activity-packed family holiday or a restful retreat, a romantic break, or a holiday with your four-legged friend, Barritshayes has something for everyone. With easy access to breath-taking countryside and coastal walks, only 15 minutes to the Jurassic Coast and beaches, and lots of East Devon attractions close by plus plenty to do on site, we’re sure you’ll love your time here.

Baby and child friendly

Barritshayes Farm Cottages is the perfect location for a family break with plenty of activities on site and so many places to explore nearby.

With enclosed gardens and stairgates, little ones will be safe, and we can provide travel cots, highchairs, potties, steps, baby baths and kids cutlery and crockery – just let us know what you need when booking.

With an outdoor heated saltwater pool (May-September), climbing frame, tennis court and games room, there’s something for all ages right here.

Dog friendly

We love meeting your furry family members!

We welcome up to two dogs per property and provide a doggy welcome pack including a bowl, towel, poop bags and some treats.

Each property has an enclosed garden.

We charge a small additional fee of £25 per dog.

Take them for a walk round our paddock and wildflower meadow or walk round the corner to the Coly River and pick up the East Devon Way.

Check out Devon Loves Dogs for more details of local dog-friendly events and walks where it’s safe to let your dogs off the lead. They also have a Four Paws Code to keep your dogs and local wildlife safe.

Group holidays

Celebrating a special occasion with family or friends? Looking for accommodation for your small walking/cycling/painting etc group?

Barritshayes Farm Cottages is a wonderful place to stay with family or friends while still having your own space.

Currently, we can accommodate up to 8 people across our three properties (plus cots). The Dairy (sleeps 4) and Granary (sleeps 2) are next door to each other, with Swallows Cabin (sleeps 2) up past the stables in a more secluded spot. The Cider Barn is coming soon and will sleep up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms.
