Whether it’s relaxing by the pool, getting competitive in the games room, playing tennis while the sun sets over the hills, watching out for the wildlife or gazing at the stars on a clear night, there’s lots for you to enjoy right here at Barritshayes.

For younger guests we have a climbing frame with a slide and swings.

The delightful East Devon Way is in less than a 5 minute a walk away from your front door, join it midway and take an easy stroll alongside the meandering river Coly.

Relax in our outdoor heated pool. Open May -September (weather dependent!). We’ve recently converted the pool to saltwater - kinder for your skin and to the environment

Tennis court – grab some rackets and balls from the Games room and see which of you will be the holiday tennis champion on our all-weather tennis court!

Games room – a great place for the whole family to hang out. Choose from table tennis, darts, table football, air hockey or pool. A selection of books and DVD’s available to borrow

Enclosed gardens and BBQs – each property has its own enclosed garden, safe for dogs and toddlers, with great views of the surrounding countryside. You’ll find outdoor dining furniture, a charcoal BBQ and sun loungers (perfect for stargazing on a clear night too)

Explore the grounds - Set within 9 acres, there’s a climbing frame and swings for the little ones, enjoy the wildflower meadow and small vineyard and take in the surrounding countryside views. Enjoy nature? Watch out for the wildlife all around, we regularly see buzzards, deer, and pheasant – keep an ear out for the owls hooting at night!

• Guest Laundry – We have a guest laundry room with a washing machine and tumble drier available for when the kids have got all their clothes sandy or muddy or you just want to get ahead on your holiday washing before you head home!

• Car Parking – There is ample guest car parking close to the accommodation
